Photo of the Week

Planetary Duo by Daniel Leclerc

Planetary Duo by Daniel LeclercVenus and Jupiter are putting on a fine display in the autumn morning sky, attracting the attention of observers and astro-photographers alike. Daniel Leclerc captured both planets from his backyard in Pointe-aux-Trembles (Montreal), Quebec. The Venus photo was recorded on October 8, 2015, while Jupiter and its moon Io were imaged on November 10, 2015.

Leclerc used a DBK 21AU618.AS CCD camera and 4× TeleVue Powermate Barlow lens fitted to his Sky-Watcher 8-inch Newtonian reflector telescope for both pictures.
